<strong>Id like to replace the fax line with a voip service.</strong></p>
<p>£15 to port your existing landline fax number to a voip fax line which allows anyone in the office to send fax and receive fax through email.<br />
The fax is received as a PDF. Print if you wish or just read on the screen.</p>
<p>To send a fax you just send an email to the_fax_number@soho66.co.uk.<br />
Any attachments (pdf, power point, word, excel) in the email are sent to the fax machine of the recipient.</p>
<p>Cost is £2 per month rental, plus £2 per month to send 50 pages. (more available if required.)</p>
<p><strong>Advantages.</strong><br />
No fax telephone required.<br />
No fax machine required. We would use the existing scanner in front of Ros&#8217;s desk if documents need to be scanned to be sent.<br />
No paper.<br />
No loss of fax number.</p>
<p><strong>Disadvantage.</strong><br />
You could argue that sending a fax is a two step process rather than just putting a piece of paper into the fax machine because it required scanning but, probably the truth is that most documents that need to be faxed first require printing.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Interleaving is a technique used to stop interference affecting your data transfer.<br />
This is usually activated on all lines by default, and may be present where a fault has previously been reported.<br />
Interleaving is used by BT when providing your high-speed broadband on some phone lines, to give you a faster and more stable speed where it has been identified that your line needs it. However this may add a small delay (or added latency) on your line, which may be of concern to gamers. Removing interleaving that has been switched on is likely to result in line instability and is not recommended in most cases. If you do want to have interleaving removed you will have to ask your ISP. Some ISP&#8217;s now offer the ability to switch off interleaving from within your online customer account.</p>
<p>Please note: some customers may see no increase in speed as a result of being moved over to the new high-speed service. In some cases we will move customers back to IPStream. However, this won’t always be the best solution, so the course of action will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Often the problem is either caused by a lack of capacity from the local exchange, or cross-talk caused by other ISP’s customers also being moved to the high-speed service.</p>
<p>Interleaving is a process/function that is applied between the equipment in the exchange (DSLAM) and the router in the customer premises (CPE) </p>
<p>Interleaving is applied at layer one of the OSI model http://www.webopedia.com/quick_ref/OSI_Layers.asp<br />
This is the level were data bits, ones and zeros, are sent over the physical line. It is these bits that ultimately make up any information passing over the line. </p>
<p>There are 2 scenarios, something referred to as fast or (Non-Interleaved) and Interleaved.<br />
Terms to note: Tx = Transmit; Rx = Receive </p>
<p>Fast:<br />
The data bits that are sent at layer one are all sent in a consecutive order e.g.<br />
Tx &#038; Rx Bit order (Non-Interleaved): 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16<br />
If there are errors on the line the errors will usually occur in a consecutive order e.g.<br />
TX &#038; Rx Bit order (Non-Interleaved): 1 2 3 x x x 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16<br />
How DSL works is that is can recover from such errors automatically as long as no more that one consecutive data bit is lost at a time. </p>
<p>This comes on to Interleaving:<br />
When interleaving is applied to the line the data bits are not sent in consecutive order, they are buffered and then reordered to look something like this.<br />
TX &#038; Rx Bit order (Interleaved): 1 8 15 2 9 16 3 10 17 4 11 18 5 12 19 6<br />
So if the same errors as above were to occur on the data stream they would appear as follows.<br />
TX &#038; Rx Bit order (Interleaved): 1 8 15 x x x 3 10 17 4 11 18 5 12 19 6 </p>
<p>The corruption will still happen in sequence but when the bits are then put back into order the corruption is non sequential and only one consecutive data bit was lost at a time the system could recover without any affect on the line. </p>
<p>E.G. After the bits are re-ordered: 1 x 3 4 5 6 7 8 x 10 11 12 13 14 15 x </p>
<p>The concerns that some of you have raised are that there will be an increase in Lag on the line should interleaving be applied. This is true because the process of buffering the data bits and reordering them can add anything between 5ms and 20ms onto the time. This is also only in one direction, data travel in 2 directions, Tx and Rx. So this will mean that it could realistically add 10ms to 40ms on the round trip time. </p>
<p>It is also important to note that the time is not random it depends on the make of the DSLAM, some manufacturers kit can do this process in a shorter time than others. BT Wholesale does not have one supplier of equipment so we can not say what the effect will be on each line. </p>
<p>Having interleaving on will increase the line stability, there will be less likely hood of dropped connections or slow speeds, but it does increase your response times which gamers may not want. </p>
<p>To put everyone’s mind at ease there is going to be a way to either turn interleaving on or off, we just have not got to the finer details on how yet. </p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Once a new domain name extension has received the seal of approval from ICANN, there are a series of stages to the registration process:</p>
<p>Sunrise. During the sunrise period, it’s usually only trademark holders who can register domain names. Every trademark holder gets checked individually, to make sure their application is legitimate.The idea is that trademark holders can protect their brand early – although there’s usually a hefty premium to register at this stage.<br />
Sunrise is for people who can prove they have the ‘right’ to a particular domain name.</p>
<p>Landrush. At landrush stage, anyone can apply to register any domain name. However, they’re not sold on a first-come-first-served basis. Instead, domains are allocated at the end of the landrush period.<br />
If more than one application is received for a domain name, it’s auctioned off.</p>
<p>Landrush is for people willing to pay more to secure a domain name.</p>
<p>Both the sunrise and landrush stages are usually run by the domain name registrar – the organisation that manages that domain name extension. Each stage can last a month or two. It’s not until the third stage that domain name companies like 123-reg usually start selling the domains:</p>
<p>General availability. Following on from sunrise and landrush, general availability is when anyone can take their pick of the remaining domain names.<br />
When we talk about pre-ordering domain names on 123-reg, it’s in preparation for general availability – if you place a preorder with us, we automatically try and register your domain name(s) the second general availability starts.</p>
<p>General availability is the ‘free for all’, when domains become available at more reasonable prices.</p>
<p>Although not every new domain name follows this process exactly, most are released in a similar manner.</p>

<p>5. Turn on the printer, and then select your Language and Country.  Reinsert the cartridges once you do this. If you still get the same message, then open the HP Solution Center program on your PC, and check the Ink level gauge or the Status of the printer. It should tell you which print cartridge has the problem. Replace that cartridge. If it works, then call HP so that they can replace the faulty cartridge for you.</p>

<p>Steps:</p>
<p>Begin with the printer ON and the incompatible cartridges IN.</p>
<p>1. Press X power at the same time</p>
<p>2. Press BLUE, GREEN, GRAY</p>
<p>3. press BLUE until you see &#8220;INFORMATION MENU&#8221;</p>
<p>4. press OK</p>
<p>5. Press Blue until you see &#8220;CHECKSUM FOR RELOCK DATA INPUT&#8221;</p>
<p>6. OK</p>
<p>7. Press X until you exit all menius</p>
<p>8. If/when promted for aliement cancel it with X. It should bypass the error</p>
